[Day 4] 2026 캄보디아 단기선교 > 선교 일지

어느덧 4일차에 접어든 캄보디아 단기선교.
하루 중 가장 시원한 이 시간, 깐달에서의 사역 첫날을 위해 찬양하고 예배합니다.

We’ve now reached Day 4 of our Cambodia short-term mission trip.
In the coolest part of the day, we begin with praise and worship as we prepare for our first day of ministry in Kandal.

선교에 오면 해보지 못한 일들을 처음 해보게 되는데, (마치 저처럼 선교일지를 쓴다거나..(?) 춤을 춰본 적이 없는 사람이 춤을 추게 된다거나..) 그 때 우리의 마음속에는 제일 먼저 두려움이 찾아오게 됩니다. ‘잘할 수 있을까? 나 해본 적 없는데..’, ‘나는 원래 이런 거 잘 못하는 성격인데…’ 등등. 하지만 하나님은 말씀하십니다 - 하나님이 우리와 함께하시니 우리는 큰 용사임을..!

When you come on a mission trip, you often find yourself doing things you’ve never done before, like writing a mission journal or even dancing when you’ve never danced before. And the first thing that tends to come into our hearts is fear. “Will I be able to do this? I’ve never done it before…”, “I’m not really the kind of person who’s good at this."But God tells us this. Because He is with us, we are mighty warriors.

사사기 6장 12절
여호와의 사자가 기드온에게 나타나 이르되 큰 용사여 여호와께서 너와 함께 계시도다

Judges 6:12

And the angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, “The Lord is with you, O mighty man of valor.”

하나님이 우리와 함께하시니 나의 성격과 성향을 모두 뛰어넘어 큰 용사로 부름받은 자들 되기를 기도합니다.
그리고 의료팀과 VBS팀을 위해 우리가 하나님이 함께하시는 큰 용사임을 선포하며 기도합니다.

Because God is with us, we pray that we would rise above our personalities and limitations and live as those who are called mighty warriors.

We also declare and pray over the medical and VBS teams that we are mighty warriors with whom God is present.

이제 오늘의 사역이 준비가 되었나요? 아직입니다!

팀별로 기도로 시작합니다.. 언제나 사역의 시작과 끝마침에는 기도가 있습니다.

Is today’s ministry ready? Not yet!

We begin by praying in our teams. As always, both the beginning and the end of our ministry are covered in prayer.

아이들만큼이나 설레고 신나는 마음으로 VBS 시작 전에,

율동팀이 준비될 동안, 마태복음 4장 18-20절 말씀을 한글로 배웁니다.

With hearts just as excited and joyful as the children, right before we begin VBS.
While the dance team prepares, we learn Matthew 4:18–20 in Korean.

아이들과 함께하는 찬양은 항상 천국을 경험케 해주십니다.

모든 걱정 벗어던지고, 아이들과 함께 웃고 춤추고 뛰다 보면 이 예배를 얼마나 기뻐받으실까 기대하고 소망하게 됩니다.

Praising together with the children always gives us a glimpse of heaven.

As we let go of all our worries and laugh, dance, and jump with them, we find ourselves hoping and expecting how much joy this worship brings to the Lord.

오늘 크래프트는 “Jesus Loves Me” 하트 모양 썬캐쳐였는데요. 아이들이 정말 금세 집중하고 뚝딱 만들어냅니다.

Today’s craft was a heart-shaped sun catcher with the words “Jesus Loves Me.”
The kids focused so quickly and made them in no time.

그리고 오늘 게임, 물스폰지로 양동이 물 채우기!
앞쪽에 서 있는 친구들은 거의 샤워를 한 수준입니다..ㅎㅎ (그래도 너무 즐거운 우리 아이들!) 

Today’s game was filling a bucket using water-soaked sponges.
The kids standing in the front practically ended up taking a shower. (Still they're having so much fun!)

모든 일정이 끝나고 어김없이 찾아온 우리의 축복의 통로!
오늘 온 아이들 모두, 하나님의 사랑을 느끼고 복음의 씨앗이 가슴 속 깊이 새겨지도록 기도합니다.

After all the activities, the time we always look forward to arrives, our time to be a channel of blessing.
We pray that every child who came today would feel God’s love and that the seed of the gospel would be deeply planted in their hearts.

아이들을 보낸 후 뒷정리도 완벽하게!

After sending the children off, we cleaned everything up perfectly.

먼지 한톨도 놓치지 않습니다..ㅎㅎ

Not even a speck of dust can be missed.

의료팀은 다양한 환자분들이 찾아와 주셨는데요.

Many patients came to the medical team today.

전도팀에서 대기자들 한 분도 빠짐없이 복음을 전해 주셔서, 복음팔찌는 진료실의 입장권처럼 느껴질 만큼 많은 분들이 팔에 복음팔찌를 하고 대기하고 계셨습니다.
진료가 끝나고 나면 또 환자분들의 회복과 믿음, 그리고 개별 기도제목을 위한 중보기도도 받습니다.

Thanks to the evangelism team sharing the gospel with every single person waiting, many of them were wearing gospel bracelets. It almost felt like an entry pass to the clinic.
After treatment, patients also received intercessory prayer for their healing, faith, and personal prayer requests.

그래서 마치 복음팔찌가 진료실의 입장권이라면, 전도팀의 뜨거운 중보기도 없이는 진료실 밖으로 나갈 수가 없습니다!

In a way, if the gospel bracelet is like a ticket into the clinic, then the passionate intercessory prayer of the evangelism team ensures that no one leaves without being prayed for.

오전 사역을 모두 마친 후, 120일 Zoom Prayer 시간!

함께 모여 TV로 연결해 기도하니, 비록 아주 멀리 떨어져 있지만 한마음으로 연결되어 기도하는 느낌이라 더욱 좋습니다.

After finishing the morning ministry, we had our 120-day Zoom Prayer time.

Gathering together and praying through the TV connection felt especially meaningful, because even though we are far apart, we are still united in one heart as we pray.

다음일정은 손목사님의 노래교실! 이 아니라, 주일에 있을 특송 연습을 위해 모였습니다.

Seems like many people signed up  for Pastor Son’s singing class? (it seems like.. XD ) but we gathered to practice a special song for Sunday.

"하나님을 찬양하는데 허투루 할 수 없지! 가장 아름답게!" 열정가득 가르쳐주시는 담임목사님 ㅎㅎ

자리에서 발탁된 알토와 테너분들..! 우리는 크메르어로 ‘주의 이름 높이며’를 찬양합니다.

“We can’t praise God half-heartedly! Let’s give Him our very best!” Our senior pastor teaching us with so much passion

Those who were suddenly chosen as altos and tenors sang “Lift High the Name of the Lord” in Khmer.

노방전도를 나가기 전, 재정비 시간에도 바디워십팀은 연습을 멈추지 않았습니다.
주님, 이들을 통해 홀로 영광 받으소서!

Even during our preparation time before heading out for street evangelism, the body worship team did not stop practicing.
Lord, may You alone receive all the glory through them.

혹시 보이시나요 손목사님의 뿌듯하신 미소가..? ㅎㅎ 목사님 눈에도 이렇게 멋지다면, 하나님은 우리의 바디워십을 통해 큰 영광 받으실줄 믿습니다! 

그리고 우리는 노방전도를 위해 쓰레기 마을로 떠납니다.
떠나기 전, 늘 그렇듯 함께 기도로 출발합니다.

Then we head out to the garbage village for street evangelism.
As always, we begin with prayer before we go.

툭툭이를 타고 떠나는데, 흙먼지가 와도~ 엉덩이가 아파도~ 복음을 전할 생각에 매우 기쁘고 신난 팀원분들!

Riding in tuk-tuks, even with dust blowing in our faces and sore backsides, the team is full of joy and excitement at the thought of sharing the gospel.

쓰레기마을을 오고 가는데, 주님이 참 아름답게 지으셨구나 이 캄보디아 땅을!
선셋도, 나무도, 들꽃도 모두 하나 흐트러짐 없이 주님의 디자인 속에 완벽히 들어맞음을 찬양하게 되었습니다.

As we travel to and from the garbage village, we are reminded how beautifully the Lord created this land of Cambodia.
The sunset, the trees, and the wildflowers all fit perfectly within His design, and we could not help but praise Him.

쓰레기마을에 도착한 우리는, 로따 전도사님과 쌈 전도사님의 리드 아래 복음팔찌를 전하며, 중보기도를 하며 하나님에 대한 소망을 두길 간절히 바라며 한 영혼 한 영혼 만나고 기도합니다.

When we arrived, under the leadership of Pastiors Rotta and Sam, we shared gospel bracelets, prayed, and met each person one by one, hoping they would place their hope in God.

캄보디아 단기선교팀에서도 몇 번 간 적이 있고 복음을 전하였고, 로따 전도사님과 황선교사님이 이미 눈물로 씨앗을 뿌리셨기에 - 예수님을 영접하는 귀한 열매를 추수하는 기쁨을 계속해서 누릴 수 있었습니다.

This mission team has visited here before and shared the gospel, and because Pastor Rotta and Missionary Hwang had already sown seeds with tears, we were able to continue experiencing the joy of harvesting precious fruit and seeing people receive Jesus.

정말 다시금 우리가 잘해서 열매를 맛보는 것이 아니라, 이전에 오랫동안 눈물로 씨앗을 심었던 분들이 계셨기에 하나님의 은혜로 우리가 지금 열매가 열리는 이 시간을 보게 해주시니 감사합니다..

Once again, we are reminded that it is not by our own efforts that we taste this fruit.
It is only by God’s grace, through those who faithfully sowed in tears before us, that we are now able to witness this time of harvest. We are truly grateful.

다시 New Hope School로 돌아와서, 저녁예배를 드립니다.
그리고 짝을 이뤄 서로를 축복해주고, 기도해주는 시간을 가졌습니다.
Jesus in me, Jesus in me loves you.

We return to New Hope School and hold our evening service.
Then we pair up, bless one another, and spend time praying for each other.
Jesus in me loves you.

이제는 정말 가족이 되어가는 캄보디아 단기선교팀!

We are truly becoming like a family, this Cambodia short-term mission team.

더위에 지지 않고, 이 캄보디아 땅을 쥐고 흔드는 공중 권세 잡은 자들에게도 지지 않고, 오직 세상을 이기신 예수님의 능력으로 선교 일정 끝까지 하나님의 많은 돌파를 경험하는 팀이 되도록 기도해주세요!

Please pray for us.
Pray that we would not be overcome by the heat or by the powers that try to hold this land, but that through the power of Jesus who has overcome the world, we would experience many breakthroughs until the very end of this mission.

[보너스이야기]

[Bonus Tracks]

정말 많은 간증들이 있고, 주님이 한 영혼 한 영혼 만나주시는 축복이 정말 많아요. 제가 이 곳에 다 올리려면 아마 선교내내 글만 써야 할 정도로요! ㅎㅎ (놀라운 하나님의 역사들이 정말 많습니다!)

그 중 한가지만 나누려고합니다. 아래 사진은 지난 4년간 캄보디아 단기선교팀이 올 때마다 의료팀을 찾아주셨던 자매님인데, 복음팔찌도 받고 다 들으시지만 영접기도에 대한 부분을 여쭤볼때마다 준비가 되지 않았다고 합니다. 그런데 오늘, 기대하지않고 물은 '영접기도'를 원하는지에 대한 질문에 받겠다고 하셨다고해요. 하나님이 왜 이 타이밍을 선택하셨는지 우리는 알지 못하나, 인간의 생각과 기대를 훨씬 뛰어넘으시는 하나님을 찬양합니다! 

There are truly so many testimonies, and we are seeing the blessing of the Lord meeting each person one by one. If I were to share them all here, I would probably spend the entire mission just writing! (There are so many incredible works of God happening!)

 I’d like to share just one of them. The woman in the photo below has been visiting the medical team every time the Cambodia short-term mission team has come over the past four years. She has received the gospel bracelet and listened to the message each time, but whenever she was asked about the prayer of salvation, she would say she wasn’t ready.

But today, when she was asked - without any particular expectation - whether she would like to receive the prayer of salvation, she said yes.

We may not understand why God chose this exact moment, but we praise Him, for He works far beyond our thoughts and expectations.

마지막으로, 사람(들)을 찾습니다.

지난 해를 비롯해 지금까지 캄보디아 선교에 와서 아이들의 마음을 빼앗고 올해는 오지 못하신 성도님들 -

우리 아이들이 너~무 보고싶어합니다! 왜 그 선생님들은 오지 않았는지 매우 궁금해합니다..ㅎㅎ

내년에 어떤선생님이 오셨으면 좋겠냐는 물음에 지금 여기 있는 모두와, (지금까지 왔었던) 다른 모든 분들 다 왔으면 좋겠다고 해요.

올해 아쉽게 오지 못하셨다면 내년에 꼭 함께하실수있길! 그리고 새로운 선생님들도 환영합니다 !! 

Looking for People!

To those who have come to Cambodia missions in the past, including last year, and captured the hearts of the children but couldn’t join us this year, our kids miss you so, so much! They keep asking why those teachers didn’t come this time… . When we asked which teachers they would like to come next year, they said they want everyone who is here now, and everyone who has come before, to come back together. If you couldn’t make it this year, we really hope you can join us next year. And of course, new teachers are always more than welcome!
