[DAY 4] 2026 ¡Vamos, Brasil! 아마존 단기선교 > 선교 일지

샬롬, 사랑하는 새누리 가족 여러분! 아마존에서 평안의 문안인사를 드립니다!

어느새 아마존에서 맞이하는 세번째 아침입니다 ㅎㅎ! 오늘은 아침 이른 새벽부터 일어나 움직였는데요, 잠이 다 깨지 않아서 눈을 뜨는게 아직은 조금 벅찬 시간이었지만 영의 양식인 하나님의 말씀을 사모하는 마음으로 소그룹으로 모여 오늘 우리에게 주신 말씀을 함께 묵상하고 성령의 인도하심을 따라 하루를 준비했습니다.

Shalom, beloved Saenuri family! Sending you greetings of peace from the Amazon! Before we knew it, we are already welcoming our third morning in the Amazon, haha! Today, we woke up and started moving bright and early at dawn. It was a time when our bodies weren't fully awake yet and just keeping our eyes open was a bit of a struggle. But with hearts longing for our spiritual food—God's Word—we gathered in small groups to meditate on the Word given to us today and prepared for the day following the Holy Spirit's guidance.

아침 Q.T.를 마치고 긴 하루를 대비하기 위해 호다닥 아침을 든든하게 챙겨 먹은 뒤 강변마을 교회로 향하는 배를 타러 가는 길입니다!

그저 마을 항구 가는 길인데 하늘과 옆에 보이는 풍경이 너무 예쁘지 않나요? 하나님께서 지으신 아름다운 자연을 있는 그대로 경험할 수 있는 아마존. 어느 시간이든, 어딜 가든, 누구를 만나든 아름다운 풍경이 있는 여기는 아마존입니다!

After our morning QT, we quickly had a hearty breakfast to prepare for the long day ahead, and now we are on our way to catch the boat heading to the riverside village church! It's literally just the road to the village port, but aren't the sky and the scenery so beautiful? The Amazon—a place where you can experience the beautiful nature God created exactly as it is. No matter the time, wherever you go, whoever you meet, there is always beautiful scenery.

아마존에 있으면서 하루도, 한시도 빼놓지 않는 저희의 루틴 = 모기와의 전쟁 준비! 모기 퇴치 스프레이를 온 몸 구석 구석 뿌리고, 모기 밴드를 손목과 발목에 장착하고, 모기 퇴치 로션도 바르고, 그럼에도 불구하고 모기가 꼬인다? 모기 퇴치 댄스도 추고, 아무튼 할 수 있는 모든것을 다 해야합니다. 그렇지 않으면 방심하는 사이에 맛있고 따뜻한 모기 밥이 될거예요.

하지만! 그러나! but! 모기는 하나님께서 우리에게 맡기신 사역을 막을 수 없습니다!

Our absolute, non-negotiable routine every single day and hour in the Amazon = Preparing for the war against mosquitoes! We spray mosquito repellent on every inch of our bodies, equip our wrists and ankles with mosquito bands, and apply mosquito lotion. And if they still swarm us? We break out the anti-mosquito dance. Basically, we have to do everything humanly possible. Otherwise, the moment we let our guard down, we become a warm, delicious meal for the mosquitoes. 

However! But! Still! Mosquitoes cannot stop the ministry God has entrusted to us!

이동하는 순간에도, 대기하는 순간에도, 쉬는 시간에도 조금이라도 짬이 생기면 연습에 연습을 더하는 바디워십팀!

Even while moving, waiting, or resting—whenever they get even a tiny spare moment, our worship dance team practices and practices some more!

배로 20분 정도 이동 후 마을에 도착 후 하선하며 VBS와 의료사역 준비물 짐을 나릅니다!

After a 20-minute boat ride, we arrived at the village, disembarked, and started carrying the supplies for VBS and the medical mission!

하지만 생각치도 못한 변수가 있었으니..

바로 하선하던 곳 근처에 있는 개미집이었습니다. 강변마을 도착지에 하선하며 잔디에 가려져 보이지 않았던 개미집을 모르고 밟은 승호형제님의 발과 형제님이 옮기고 계셨던 짐에 수백마리의 개미가 옮아 붙으며 한바탕 소동이 벌어졌습니다 ㅜㅜ 황급히 응급 처치하는 승호형제님! 다행스럽고 감사하게도 더 큰 문제가 생기지 않았음에 감사합니다!

But there was an unexpected twist... An anthill right near where we disembarked. While getting off at the riverside village, Brother Seungho unknowingly stepped on an anthill hidden by the grass. Hundreds of ants swarmed his feet and the luggage he was carrying, causing quite a commotion ㅜㅜ Brother Seungho hurriedly doing some first-aid! Thankfully and gratefully, we are so relieved it didn't turn into a bigger issue!

설렘과 상기된 표정으로 VBS를 기다리는 마을 아이들!

아이들과 VBS를 시작하기 전 함께 모여 기도함으로 오늘 만날 아이들을 위해서, 아이들과의 만남 가운데에, 성령님의 도우심이 있기를, 아이들이 하나님을 예배하는 귀한 경험이 있는 시간이 되기를 함께 기도함으로 VBS 사역을 시작합니다.

Before starting VBS with the kids, we gathered to pray. We prayed for the children we were about to meet, asking for the Holy Spirit's help during our time with them, and praying that this would be a precious experience of worshiping God for them. With that prayer, we kicked off the VBS ministry.

오늘도 등장한 카멜레온과 오리 친구들과 함께 온 몸으로 하나님을 찬양합니다! 저는 몇번을 봐도 따라하기 힘든 바디 워십인데 아이들은 실시간으로 카피를 하더라구요..? 하나님께서 브라질 땅의 아이들에게 부어주신 남다른 은사가 있는 것 같습니다 :D!

Praising God with all our bodies alongside our friends, the Chameleon and the Duck, who made another appearance today! I find this worship dance hard to follow no matter how many times I watch it, but the kids were copying it in real-time...? It seems God has poured out a special, unique gift upon the children in the land of Brazil :D!

바디워십이 끝나고 사우나 같은 코스튬을 환복하러 잽싸게 화장실로 뛰어가는 오리와 용천형제와​ 이미 환복하러 눈 깜짝할 사이에 사라졌다가 돌아온 카멜레온 성민형제.

무더운 날씨에도 열기가 가득한 코스튬 안에서 열심히 춤을 추며 섬겨주신 두 형제님들께 심심한 감사와 격려의 박수를 드립니다 ㅎㅎ 

Brother Yongcheon (the Duck) sprinting to the restroom to change out of that sauna-like costume right after the worship dance, and Brother Sungmin (the Chameleon), who had already disappeared to change in the blink of an eye and come back. A huge round of applause and deep gratitude to our two brothers who served so passionately, dancing hard inside those sweltering costumes despite the scorching weather, haha.

바디워십이 끝난 후 십자가 등불 만들기 액티비티를 가졌습니다. 아이들이 직접 만든 십자가 등불을 볼 때마다 복음의 기쁨이 전해지길 간절히 기도합니다!

After the worship dance, we had a Cross Lantern making activity. We earnestly pray that every time the kids look at the cross lanterns they made themselves, the joy of the gospel will be passed on to them!

이제는 아이들이 기다리던 게임 시간입니다! 아이들의 얼굴에 미소와 웃음이 끊이지 않는 모습을 보며, 함께 이 즐거운 시간을 나눌 수 있음에 감사합니다. 이 아이들이 자라는 시간들속에 하나님께서 채워주시는 기쁨과 감사가 가득하여 아이들의 얼굴에 번졌던 미소가 계속해서 끊이지 않는 삶이 되길 소망하며 축복합니다.

Now it’s the game time the kids have been waiting for! Seeing the never-ending smiles and laughter on their faces makes us so thankful to be able to share this joyful time with them. We hope and bless that as these children grow, their days will be filled with the joy and gratitude God provides, so that the smiles spreading across their faces today will never fade from their lives.

VBS 팀은 이제 의료사역이 진행 되고있는중인 교회 건물로 이동합니다. 에어컨이 있는 실내 건물에 들어서니 나도 모르게 "할렐루야, 주님 감사합니다"가 저절로 나옵니다! +_+

The VBS team now moved to the church building where the medical mission is taking place. Stepping into an indoor building with air conditioning, "Hallelujah, thank You Lord" just naturally came out of my mouth without me even realizing it! +_+

오늘 의료 선교에 방문하신 환자분들 한 분 한 분 진료가 끝난 후 기도해주시는 중보기도 스테이션의 승호 형제님과 은주 자매님. 여호와 라파 치료의 하나님께서 안수하여 주셔서 육신의 연약한 부분이 깨끗하게 나음받는 치유의 역사를 이루어주시기를, 그 치유의 간증이 환자분들의 남은 삶에 그리스도의 향기로 남아 그들이 밟는 모든 걸음마다 하나님을 향한 찬양으로 번지기를 기도합니다.

Brother Seungho and Sister Eunju at the intercessory prayer station, praying for each and every patient who visited the medical mission today after their consultations. We pray that Jehovah Rapha, the God of Healing, will lay His hands on them and bring about a history of healing where their physical weaknesses are completely cured. We pray that the testimony of this healing will remain as the fragrance of Christ in the rest of their lives, spreading as praise to God with every step they take.

오늘 의료 사역의 현장에 방문하신 환자분들이 130분이 계셨습니다. 그동안 진행됐던 의료 선교중 가장 많은 인원의 환자분들을 맞이하며 더더욱 우리의 힘으로 가능한 것이 아닌, 하나님의 강권적인 도우심과 일하심으로 이 모든것을 가능하게 만드신 하나님의 은혜를 고백하는 시간이 되었습니다. 의료선교가 진행될수록 우리를 더욱 겸손케 하시며, 우리의 경험과 지식을 의지하는것이 아닌 하나님을 온전히 신뢰하며 하나님께서 하시는 일을 잠잠히 바라보는것을 깨닫게 하시는 하나님의 은혜를 찬양합니다!

Today, 130 patients visited our medical mission site. Welcoming the largest number of patients we've ever seen during our medical missions, it became a profound time to confess that this was not achieved by our own strength. We confessed God's grace, acknowledging that it was His compelling help and mighty work that made all of this possible. As the medical mission continues, He humbles us even more. We praise the grace of God for teaching us not to rely on our own experience and knowledge, but to completely trust in Him and quietly witness the work He is doing!

오전 사역을 마치고 먹는 점심은 꿀맛이지요! +_+

Nothing can beat the lunch after the morning ministry! +_+

점심식사 후 의료팀은 계속해서 오시는 환자분들을 맞이했고, VBS팀은 마을 노방전도로 출발합니다!

After lunch, the medical team continued to welcome incoming patients, and the VBS team set out for street evangelism in the village!

걸어가며 보이는 가정마다 방문해 복음을 나누며 복음팔찌를 전하며 함께 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 

We visited the homes we saw as we walked, sharing the gospel, handing out gospel bracelets, and taking time to pray together.

멀리서도 선교팀을 보면 누구보다 반갑게 손을 흔들며 열정적으로 인사해주는 마을 아이들.

The village kids, waving harder than anyone else and greeting us with such passion whenever they spot the mission team from afar.

노방전도를 마무리하고 교회 건물로 다시 이동합니다.

Wrapping up the street evangelism and heading back to the church building.

교회 건물로 돌아와서 의료팀과 합류하여 오늘 사역의 시간들을 통해 하나님이 내게 어떤 마음을 보여주고 계시는지, 내게 알려주고싶으신 하나님의 마음이 무엇인지, 하나님의 음성에 귀 기울이며 반응하는 시간을 통해 하나님의 은혜와 사랑을 경험하는 귀한 시간을 가졌습니다.

Returning to the church building, we reunited with the medical team. We had a precious time experiencing God's grace and love by listening and responding to His voice—reflecting on what kind of heart God was showing us through today's ministry and what He wanted to reveal to us.

개인의 고요한 기도의 시간을 가진 후 팀원들과 간증을 나눠주는 희현자매와 지선자매.

각자의 자리에서 하나님께서 보여주시고 깨닫게 해주신 마음들을 나눔으로 동일하신 성령님이 우리 안에서 일하고 계시다는것을, 함께 지어가고 계시다는것을 더욱 확신할 수 있는 시간이었고, 더욱 한 마음으로 하나님께서 맡겨주신 사명을 가지고 나아갈 수 있는 감사한 시간이었습니다.

Sisters Heehyun and Julia (Lee) sharing their testimonies with the team after a time of quiet personal prayer. By sharing the hearts God revealed and made us realize in our respective places, it was a time where we could be even more certain that the same Holy Spirit is working within us and building us up together. It was a thankful time that allowed us to move forward with one heart toward the mission God has entrusted to us.

저녁에는 지역 교회에 모여 함께 하나님을 찬양하고 예배하며 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 바디 워십과 Skit을 나누고 함께 기도할때에 언어는 다를지라도 한분이신 성령님께서 일하셔서 언어의 장벽에 구애받지 않고 성령의 감동과 교통하심으로 역사하시는 놀라운 은혜를 경험하는 시간이었습니다. 육신의 고통과 마음의 고통을 경험하고 있는 지체들을 기도의 자리로 초청했을때에 나와주신 형제 자매님들을 위해 함께 기도할때 하나님께서 놀라운 역사하심으로 일하시고 위로하고 계심을 몸으로 직접 느끼는 시간이었습니다. 

In the evening, we gathered at a local church to praise, worship, and pray to God together. When we shared the worship dance and skit and prayed together, we experienced an amazing grace. Even though our languages are different, the one Holy Spirit worked beyond language barriers, moving us and communing with us. When we invited those experiencing physical or emotional pain to the altar for prayer, we prayed together for the brothers and sisters who stepped forward. It was a time we could physically feel God working with incredible power and comforting them.

"딸아 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였으니 평안히 가라 (마 5:34, 눅 8:48)"

"Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace." (Mark 5:34 / Luke 8:48)"

혈루병을 앓는 여인이 예수님의 옷자락만 만져도 나을 것이라는 믿음을 가지고 어떻게 해서든 예수님이 지나가시는 길에서 주님의 옷자락을 잡았을때에 예수님이 여인의 믿음을 보시고 치유해주신 기적의 역사가 있었던 것처럼, 예수님의 이름을 부르짖으며 육신의 연약함을 온전히 주님께 맡겨드리고 예수님의 이름의 능력을 믿는 믿음을 가진 이 땅에 있는 주님의 자녀들에게 하나님께서 2000년 전에 보여주신 동일한 그 치유의 기적이 오늘도 임하시기를 간절히 기도했습니다.

Just like the miracle where the woman suffering from bleeding believed she would be healed if she just touched Jesus' garment, and somehow managed to grab the edge of His cloak on His path, and Jesus healed her seeing her faith—we earnestly prayed that the exact same miracle of healing God showed 2,000 years ago would fall upon the Lord's children in this land today. Those who cry out the name of Jesus, completely surrender their physical weaknesses to the Lord, and possess the faith that believes in the power of Jesus' name.

오늘 사역했던 지역의 교회에서 단체사진을 마지막으로 숙소가 있는 Igreja Assembleia de Deus de Altaz Mirim 교회로 이동합니다.

내일도 새로운 곳으로, 하나님께서 예비하신, 하나님께서 만나길 원하시는 영혼들에게 복음의 소식을 전하러 다녀오겠습니다!
