[DAY 7] 2026 말라위 단기선교 > 선교 일지

샬롬!

선교 일지를 시작한 지 얼마 지나지 않은 것 같은데, 오늘로 모든 사역을 마치고 말라위에서 보내는 마지막 일지를 전해드립니다.

말라위는 오고 가는 여정이 길어서인지, 늘 아쉬움이 남을 때 떠나게 되는 것 같습니다.오늘의 모든 사역을 마무리한 후, 말라위 호수 앞에서 촬영한 단체 사진과 함께 마지막 소식을 시작합니다.

It feels like we just started sharing our journal updates, but today marks the completion of all our ministries. 

I am sending you our very last journal entry from Malawi.Perhaps because the journey here and back is so long, we always seem to leave just when our hearts are filled with the most lingering attachments. We begin this final update with a group photo taken in front of Lake Malawi after wrapping up our very last ministry today.

비전센터를 위해 말라위 땅에서도 함께 마음 모아 기도할 수 있었던 지난 시간들이 참 큰 은혜였습니다. 

그리고 지난 7일간 우리 말라위 단기선교팀을 위해 하루도 빠짐없이 기도로 동역해 주신 새누리 성도님들, 정말 감사드립니다.

It was a truly great grace that we could come together and pray with one heart for the Vision Center, even here in the land of Malawi. 

We also want to deeply thank the Saenuri church members who faithfully partnered with our Malawi short-term mission team in prayer every single day for the past 7 days.

Airwing Church에 헌금을 전달해 드렸습니다.

We delivered the offering to Airwing Church. 

가족 행사로 인해 하루 먼저 미국으로 돌아가게 된 하연 자매님의 안전한 복귀 일정을 위해 다 함께 마음을 모아 기도해 드렸습니다.

We prayed together for Sister Hayeon’s safe travel back to the US, as she had to leave a day early for a family event.

Airwing 교회 Mike 목사님의 딸 Purity가 다니는 학교를 찾아가 스킷과 복음을 전했습니다. 

마침 중간고사 기간이었는데도 많은 학생들이 점심시간에 나와 단기선교팀을 반갑게 만나주었습니다.

We visited the school attended by Purity, the daughter of Airwing Church's local pastor, Pastor Mike, to share a skit and the Gospel. 

Even though it was their midterm, many students came out during their lunch break to warmly meet our short-term mission team.

스킷을 보는 학생들의 마음에 하나님의 감동이 임하기를 기도했습니다.

We prayed that God would touch the hearts of the students watching the skit.

마침 한 자매님의 오늘 의상이 학생들의 교복과 비슷해서 자연스럽게 무리에 섞이기도 했습니다. ㅎㅎ

Coincidentally, one of our sisters wore an outfit similar to the school uniform today, so she blended in naturally with the students. haha 

문 목사님께서는 복음을 전하시며, 학생들이 시험을 잘 볼 수 있도록 응원해 주셨습니다.

Pastor Moon shared the Gospel and encouraged the students to do well on their exams. 

팀원들도 짧은 시간 동안 많은 아이들에게 복음을 전하기 위해 온 마음을 다했습니다.

The team members also poured their hearts into sharing the Gospel with as many children as possible in that short amount of time.

학교 방문을 마친 후에는 근처에 있는 말라위 호수로 이동했습니다. 그동안 바쁜 사역을 감당하느라 지친 몸과 마음에 잠시 휴식을 주는 시간이었습니다. 

말라위 호수는 레이크 타호보다 훨씬 커서 마치 바다처럼 느껴집니다. 호숫가를 걸으며 이 아름다운 자연을 창조하신 하나님을 찬양하게 되었습니다.

After the school visit, we went to nearby Lake Malawi. It was a time to give some rest to our weary bodies and minds after keeping up with a busy ministry schedule. 

Lake Malawi is much larger than Lake Tahoe, so it truly feels like an ocean. Walking along the shore, we couldn't help but praise God who created this beautiful nature.

사역 기간 동안 애써주신 Mike 목사님과 Washington 목사님도 함께 쉼의 시간을 가졌습니다. 

호수를 보며 새 힘을 얻으시고, 맡겨진 사역들을 앞으로도 넉넉히 감당해 나가시기를 기도합니다.

Pastor Mike and Pastor Washington, who worked so hard to support us throughout our ministry, also spent some time resting with us.

We pray that they will find refreshment as they look out over the lake and continue to faithfully carry out the ministries entrusted to them.

말라위에서 드리는 마지막 저녁예배시간

지난 시간동안 어떤 은혜를 받았는지 나눔의 시간이 있었습니다.

We had a time of sharing about the grace we received during our time here.

먼 타지 말라위에서 하나님 나라를 위해 헌신하시는 선교사님과 목사님들께 우리의 마음을 전달했습니다.

We delivered our gifts to the missionaries and pastors who are dedicating their lives to the Kingdom of God here in the distant land of Malawi. 

허 선교사님께서도 새누리 단기선교팀 모두에게 깊은 감사를 전해 주셨습니다.특별히 가장 힘든 자리인 주방에서 매일 삼시 세끼를 챙겨주신 명희 자매님, 

묵묵하고 뚝심 있게 벤치 만들기와 페인트칠을 끝까지 책임져 주신 보승 형제님, 3년 연속 개근한 유스의 조나, 최고령자이신 사라 자매님, 그리고 

막내들인 소피와 클레어에게 아프리카의 색채가 가득 담긴 조각상을 선물해 주셨습니다.

Missionary Huh also expressed his deep gratitude to the entire Saenuri short-term mission team. 

In particular, he gifted beautiful African sculptures to Sister Myunghui, who took care of our three daily meals in the kitchen which was the most demanding role. 

He also presented them to Brother Boseung, who quietly and steadfastly took full responsibility for making the benches and painting, 

Jonah from the youth group who achieved perfect attendance for three consecutive years, our oldest member Sister Sarah, and our youngest members Sophie and Claire.

마지막으로 허 선교사님과 오 목사님을 위해 팀원들이 다 함께 기도해 드렸습니다.

Lastly, all the team members joined together in prayer for Missionary Huh and Pastor Oh.

오늘의 마지막 사진은 저희가 완성한 벤치 중 일부입니다.보승 형제님께서는 말라위에 오기 전부터 유튜브로 벤치 만드는 방법을 공부해 오셨습니다. 

말라위 영혼들을 섬기고자 하는 형제님의 귀한 마음이 모든 팀원에게 큰 도전과 귀감이 되었습니다. 

앞으로 이 의자에 앉아 예배드릴 Airwing 교회 성도님들을 생각하니 마음이 참 기쁩니다.

The last photo for today shows some of the benches we completed. Brother Boseung had actually studied how to make benches on YouTube even before coming to Malawi. 

His precious heart to serve the people of Malawi was a great challenge and inspiration to all the team members. 

It brings much joy to our hearts to think of the Airwing Church members who will sit on these benches to worship in the future.

내일은 31시간에 걸쳐 말라위에서 에티오피아와 토론토를 거쳐 샌프란시스코로 이동합니다. 저희의 안전한 복귀 여정을 위해 기도해 주세요. 

특별히 몸 상태가 좋지 않은 자매님들에게 이번 긴 비행시간이 너무 고되지 않도록 함께 기도 부탁드립니다.

Tomorrow, we begin a 31-hour journey from Malawi to San Francisco, traveling through Ethiopia and Toronto. Please pray for our safe journey back. 

We especially ask for your prayers for the sisters who are not feeling well, that this long flight will not be too physically demanding for them.
