[DAY 7] 2026 ¡Vamos, Brasil! 아마존 단기선교 > 선교 일지

Hello, Saenuri congregation! This is already our 7th mission journal sent from Brazil :)

미국을 떠나온게 지난 주일 저녁이었는데, 벌써 7일이 지나 브라질에서의 주일이라니 시간이 너무 빨리 지나가는 것 같아 아쉬운 마음이 많이 컸습니다.

오늘 동산교회에서는 마지막 VBS와 의료사역이 있었고 동산교회 교인분들과 함께 주일 예배를 지켰는데요, 마나우스와 아마존을 함께 오가며 사역에 동참하신 동산교회 교인분들과도 다음을 기약하며 인사를 나눴습니다. 분명 언어의 벽은 있었지만, 동일한 성령님께서 우리 가운데에 함께 해주셔서 한 영으로 모여 하나님을 예배하며 찬양하고 또 하나님께서 맡기신 일들을 함께 감당하며 동역할 수 있었어서 너무 소중하고 감사한 시간들이었습니다.

We left the States last Sunday evening, and exactly 7 days have passed, making it Sunday here in Brazil. 

It feels like time is flying by so fast, leaving me with a bittersweet feeling. Today was our final VBS and medical mission at Dongsan Church, and we also kept the Lord's Day worship together with the Dongsan Church members. We said our goodbyes, promising to meet again, to the Dongsan Church members who traveled back and forth between Manaus and the Amazon to join us in our ministry. Although there was undeniably a language barrier, the same Holy Spirit was with us, allowing us to gather in one spirit to worship and praise God, and to work together to carry out the tasks He entrusted to us. It was such a precious and thankful time.

기상 후 숙소에서 간단히 아침을 먹고 동산교회에서 오전 Q.T.로 사역의 처음을 시작했습니다. "사랑 장" 으로 알려져있는 고린도전서 13장을 함께 묵상하며 예수님께서 주신 새 언약, 사랑을 함께 묵상하며 모든 것을 참으며, 모든 것을 믿으며, 모든 것을 바라며, 모든 것을 견디는 참된 사랑을 살아낼 수 있는 능력을 간구하며 사역을 함께 하는 우리 단기 선교팀 안에도, 오늘 사역지에서 만나게 하시는 영혼들과의 교제속에서도 실천될 수 있기를 소망하며 사역을 준비합니다.

After waking up and having a quick breakfast at our lodging, we started the first part of our ministry with morning QT at Dongsan Church. Meditating on 1 Corinthians 13, known as the "Love Chapter," we reflected on the new covenant of love Jesus gave us. We prayed for the power to live out that true love—love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. We prepared for our ministry hoping that this love would be actively practiced both within our short-term mission team and in our fellowship with the souls God allows us to meet at today's ministry site.

신나는 바디 워십과 수민 간사님의 설교 시간이 끝난 후 간식과 크래프트 타임을 가졌습니다. 예수님 무덤 만들기와 더불어 예수님은 죽음을 이기시고 다시 사신 왕이라는것을 기억합니다.

After the exciting worship dance and Minister Sumin's sermon, we had snack and craft time. Along with making Jesus' tomb, we remembered that Jesus is the King who conquered death and rose again.

아래층에서는 봉사로 오신 의료진들과 함께 오늘 이곳을 방문해주신 환자분들을 맞이하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

Downstairs, together with the volunteer medical staff, we took the time to welcome the patients who visited today.

의료팀 사역에서는 실질적인 병원 진료와 육적인 건강을 위해 힘쓰면서도, 동시에 환자가 영적으로도 건강할 수 있도록 함께 중보하는 마음으로 진료를 진행했습니다. 

이미 주님이 나의 구원의 주인이시며 내 삶의 주인이심을 고백하던 어린 아이. 하나님께서 이 아이의 삶속에 빛으로 찾아오셔서 어디에 가든지 무엇을 하든지 하나님의 빛으로 밝게 비추어 주시기를, 빛되신 하나님의 자녀로서 이 세상에서 빛을 발할 수 있는 하나님의 자녀로 자라날 수 있도록 기도하며 축복하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

In the medical team's ministry, while we worked hard on practical medical treatments and physical health, we also conducted consultations with an intercessory heart so that the patients could be spiritually healthy as well. A young child who already confessed that the Lord is the Master of salvation and the Master of his life. We took time to bless and pray for him, asking that God would come into this child's life as a light, shining brightly wherever he goes and whatever he does, so he can grow up as a child of God radiating light in this world.

야외에서는 점심식사때 함께 먹을 생선과 고기 구이가 한창입니다!

맛있는 바베큐 냄새에 더욱 열심을 다해 남은 오전 사역을 마무리했습니다 +_+.

Outside, grilling the fish and meat we'd eat for lunch was in full swing! 

Fueled by the delicious smell of BBQ, we worked even harder to finish the remaining morning ministry +_+.

VBS가 끝난 후 아이들과 사진도 찍고 인사도 나눈 오늘도 정성껏 준비해주신 점심 식사를 맛있게 먹었습니다. 동산교회에서의 마지막 식사라고 생각하니 아쉬움이 더욱 크고, 그동안 더운 주방에서 열심히 식사로 수고해주신 스태프분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다!

After VBS wrapped up, we took pictures with the kids, said our goodbyes, and enjoyed another deliciously and thoughtfully prepared lunch. Thinking about how this was our last meal at Dongsan Church made it feel even more bittersweet. We sincerely thank the staff who worked so hard in the hot kitchen all this time to serve us with these meals!

A 1.5L plastic bottle filled to the brim with instant mixed coffee is absolute power, hahaha.

VBS 세팅을 철수하고 정리 후 곧 있을 주일 예배 (저녁)를 위해 예배당을 청소하고 예배드릴 수 있도록 의자를 놓습니다.

After tearing down and organizing the VBS setup, we cleaned the sanctuary and arranged the chairs for the upcoming Sunday evening worship service.

예배가 시작된 후 찬양시간중에 인도자 목사님께서 부르셔서 엉겁결에 함께 찬양을 하게 된 SOZO와 AINOS의 인도자 자매들 ㅎㅎㅎ

비록 언어는 다르지만 동일한 메세지를 함께 고백할 수 있었던 것이 너무나 큰 은혜이자 감사였습니다!

During the praise time after the service started, the worship leading pastor called them up, so the leader sisters from SOZO and AINOS unexpectedly ended up leading praise together, hahaha. Though the languages were different, being able to confess the same message together was such a tremendous grace and blessing!

구원의 기쁨과 하나님의 그 크신 사랑앞에 가만히 찬양할 수 없습니다! 

다윗 왕이 춤을 추며 하나님을 찬양했던 것처럼, 우리의 온 마음을 다해 하나님께 기쁨의 찬양을 올려드립니다! 할렐루야!

We simply cannot praise while standing still before the joy of salvation and God's immense love! Just as King David danced and praised God, we offer joyful praise to God with all our hearts! Hallelujah!

우리만 가장 앞에서 은혜 받을 수 없죠! 동산교회 교인들 모두를 자유로운 찬양의 자리로 (앞자리),

지금 초대하러 갑니다! ㅋㅋㅋ

We can't be the only ones receiving grace right at the front! We are now heading out to invite all the Dongsan Church members to the spot of free praise (the front row)! lol

다함께 신나게 뛰면서 찬양하는 이 시간. 형식에 구애받지 않고 자유롭게 하나님을 찬양할 수 있는 이 벅찬 기쁨. 하나님의 은혜입니다!

This time of joyfully jumping and praising together. This overwhelming joy of freely praising God without being bound by formalities. It is God's grace!

찬양이 끝난 후, 어린 아이들을 강단으로 불러 아이들을 위해 모든 교인이 손을 뻗고 기도하며 축복해주는 시간을 가졌습니다.

After the praise ended, the young children were called to the altar, and all the congregation members stretched out their hands to pray and bless them.

이 아이들이 참된 예배를 세워나가는 다음 세대의 영적인 리더로 성장할 수 있도록, 몸이 자라나면서 주님을 아는것 또한 자라나는 은혜를 부어주시기를, 하나님의 기쁨이 되는 자녀로 성장할 수 있기를 소망하며 축복하는 마음으로 함께 기도했습니다. 또한 어린 시절부터 하나님을 인격적으로 경험할 수 있는 예배의 자리가 계속해서 세워진다는것이 얼마나 복된 일인지, 아이들이 믿음을 지키며 성장할 수 있는 울타리가 되어주는 공동체로 모이는것, 그들을 위해 계속해서 중보하는것, 믿음의 유산을 남기는것이 믿지 않는 영혼들에게 복음을 전하는 일 만큼이나 중요한 사역이자 우리의 의무라는것을 다시한번 기억하며 새누리교회에 주신 도전이자 소명인 비전센터를 두고 함께 기도했습니다.

We prayed together with a heart of blessing, hoping these children will grow into spiritual leaders of the next generation who will build up true worship. We prayed that as their bodies grow, their knowledge of the Lord will also grow, and that they will become children who bring joy to God. Also, realizing what a blessing it is to have a place of worship continually established where children can experience God personally from a young age—and remembering that gathering as a community to be a protective fence for their faith, interceding for them, and leaving a legacy of faith is a ministry and duty just as important as evangelizing to the lost—we prayed together for the Vision Center, the challenge and calling given to Saenuri Church.

성령의 인도하심과 은혜 가운데에 황목사님의 설교와 기도 인도로 동산교회에서의 주일 예배가 잘 마쳤습니다.

기도시간에는 육신의 연약함으로 고통중에 있는 성도님들을 앞자리로 초청해 함께 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 또한 성도님들과 단기선교팀이 하나로 모여 서로를 위해 기도하며 축복하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 

기도의 마지막 시간에는 하나님께서 동산교회의 영적인 지도자로 목사님 내외분과 지덕진 선교사님 내외분들을 위해 함께 손을 뻗고 축복하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 

하나님께서 동산교회를 통해 마나우스땅에 예배를 세우시고, 계속해서 주님을 향한 뜨거운 마음으로 주님을 사랑하며 하나님의 말씀과 성령의 역사하심을 사모하는자들로서 주님 오시는 그 날을 성실하게 예비하는 예배자들로 세워주시기를 소망합니다.

Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Sunday worship service at Dongsan Church gracefully concluded with Pastor Hwang's sermon and prayer leading. During the prayer time, we invited the members suffering from physical weaknesses to the front and prayed together. Also, the church members and the short-term mission team gathered as one to pray and bless each other. In the final moments of prayer, we stretched out our hands to bless the pastor and his wife, as well as Missionary Ji Deok-jin and his wife, as the spiritual leaders of Dongsan Church appointed by God. We earnestly hope that God will establish worship in the land of Manaus through Dongsan Church, and raise them up as worshippers who faithfully prepare for the day the Lord returns, loving Him with a burning heart and yearning for God's Word and the working of the Holy Spirit.

저희는 오늘을 뒤로하고 내일 브라질에서의 마지막 사역을 하러 근처 마을로 향합니다! 선교 일정이 마무리 되어가는 상황속에서 말씀과 기도로 더욱 무장하여 흔들리지 않는 믿음과, 가난한 마음으로 주님 앞에 온전한 순종을 드려 맡겨주신 일들 끝까지 잘 감당할 수 있도록 함께 기도해주시면 감사하겠습니다!

Leaving today behind, tomorrow we head to a nearby village for our final ministry in Brazil! As our mission schedule draws to a close, we would appreciate it if you could pray with us. Pray that we arm ourselves even more with the Word and prayer, offering perfect obedience to the Lord with unshakable faith and poor hearts, so we can faithfully fulfill the tasks entrusted to us until the very end!
