The opportunity to take this Disciple class came at a good time. My husband and I had just started our break from serving and this allowed us to rest in God’s word together and fellowship with other believers. I’ll admit that all the work seemed overwhelming at first but I saw the value in them all.
The weekly workbook assignments and memory verses made us set aside time to meditate, think and share our thoughts with one another. It made us reflect on some things and I was really blessed by our time. The daily reading of the same passages with the class and sharing our reflections with one another was also a blessing. I believe that is what God would want us to do, meditate and share in God’s word morning day and night with one another. I enjoyed reading everyone’s reflections and seeing how God’s same word spoke both different and same things to each person. I believe that it pleased God to see His children meditating, sharing and praising in His word daily.
The serving opportunities were also a blessing. I enjoyed serving in all the different ministries like parking, Saturday breakfast serving and Good News events. It made me appreciate each member of the body who came together to serve God and one another. I was blessed to see so many of our church members so faithfully serve in different ways with so much love and dedication. I think it helped our class to unite and bond as we served together.
I hope that our church can continue to grow in our love for God and one another through worship, studying of the word, fellowship in Christ and serving.

Amen, I resonate with all of your reflections.
One of the greatest joys was being able to share our thoughts on the same passages and see how they connected with each of our personal prayer requests, allowing us to grow together.
The opportunities to serve were also such a joy and grace, as each one of us became a part of the body of Christ, sharing one heart — the heart of the Lord — as we served souls together.
And to add to that, even going through hardships and trials together was a joy.
Preparing for and enduring the “trial” of exams together seemed to bring everyone even closer.
(Perhaps it was easier for me to say since I did not take it with you all haha.)
I look forward to and pray that we will continue to grow together in the Lord.
